Art Center "3331 Arts Chiyoda" will Close on March 31, 2023
Command A, LLC. (art center managing company and artist-led initiative) publicly announced on June 1, 2022 that "3331 Arts Chiyoda" - an art center that reutilized former Rensei Junior High School - will be closing as of March 31, 2023 after 13 years of operating the space through Chiyoda City's local arts and culture project known as "Chiyoda Art Square".
Chiyoda City confirmed the decision to close the space in January 2022, seeing that the 44-year-old former junior high school facility requires large-scale reconstruction in order to maintain the space as a permanent arts and culture center for the future. Due to surveys and preparations necessary for these major renovations, the facility will be unusable for an indefinite period of time.
With the contract between Command A, LLC. and Chiyoda City ending on March 31, 2023, Chiyoda City will consider upcoming plans for the future use of the space. Further updates will be posted on the website regarding the state of the activities of "3331 Arts Chiyoda" as more information is confirmed.

Continuation of Residence Program "AIR 3331"
Despite the closure of 3331 Arts Chiyoda, Command A, LLC. will continue to run its residence program known as "AIR 3331", whose facilities are located in the Iwamotocho area just a few streets away from central Akihabara. We are currently accepting applications on an ongoing basis for both long-term and short-term residencies starting from April 1, 2023 and on.
