"Nearly There" is a group exhibition of paintings, drawings, digital media, photography and installation from four international artists. In "Nearly There" Serene Hui, Mao Wei, Shannon Steuer and Jacqueline McLeish present their studio space to you as both a physical structure and a lived experience. As a whole "Nearly There" broadly explores contemporary arrangements of space. How it is categorised between boundaries of individuality and collectivity, physicality and immateriality, mobility and fixity. Staged within this meditative space "Nearly There" explores and tests the multiplicity of individuality. Inside these artworks you will find the story of these artists' encounters with Tokyo. .
