3331 Arts Chiyoda is pleased to present '3331 Arts Chiyoda Special Exhibition - 3331 Transformed Art into " "'.

3331 Arts Chiyoda opened in 2010 as an alternative art center open to the community, and for the time being, its role will come to a close on March 31, 2023. Not long after its opening in 2011, the Great East Japan Earthquake shook the nation, and as we welcome its closing year in 2023, we are still in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, marking the center's 12-year history by significant events. While facing shifts in society as a cultural center made for a new era, and as one of Chiyoda City's bases for cultural transmission, what role did 3331 Arts Chiyoda serve across the community and its residents' daily lives, as well as the fields of art and culture? This exhibition aims to reflect on 3331 Arts Chiyoda's 12 years of activities, while highlighting the center's wide range of projects that deviated from art, were opened to the city, and cultivated over the years.

3331 Arts Chiyoda's activities will be carried on through the words of local residents and users of our spaces that supported us over the years, as well as those of all visitors who stepped into our center even just once. We offer our gratitude as we ask all of you to fill in the " " of the exhibition title with your own words. There is a wall for displaying these words within the exhibition space, where we invite you to join us in completing the exhibition with your own hands.

During the exhibition period, we will be holding various events for you to enjoy the many qualities of 3331 Arts Chiyoda, including a secret auction of artworks, tours of the center, neighborhood walks, and live performances.
We look forward to welcoming you to the center as we close this chapter of its history.
