In this exhibition, the color illustrations of Moto Hagio, who was responsible for the dawn of science fiction in the history of Japanese shojo manga, and raw comic manuscripts, were held at the "Moto Hagio SF Original Painting Exhibition" held at the Kichijoji Museum of Art in Musashino City in April 2016. A large collection of about 400 SF originals, with more than 120 added, based on the originals.
A dream exhibition space will be realized with the stars drawn by Moto Hagio, a miracle manga artist who was fascinated by the planet!

Debuted in 1969 with "Lulu and Mimi" .
Since 1972, she has serialized "Poe no Ichizoku" and won the 21st Shogakukan Manga Award in 1976 for the same work and "There are 11 people!". "The Heart of Thomas", which was serialized at the same time, became popular, and it was said that it brought about innovation in shojo manga and built a golden age. Was called.The genre of the work covers a wide range of fields such as science fiction, fantasy, mystery, romantic comedy, ballet, and suspense.
In the fall of 2019, she was selected as the first person of cultural merit among female cartoonists.
