The art centre which points towards an art and creativity open to all, 333, is organizing the Chiyoda Art Festival "3331 Independents" exhibition, discovering and offering support to new talent which will form the future art scene. The Chiyoda Art Festival "3331 Independents", is an open exhibition in which anyone can present their work, and through audience and guest review panel voting ballot selected artists are offered a special scholarship in which they may hold an exhibition of their works at 3331. In the first of these festivals held in September 2010 over 350 works were presented and from amongst this overwhelming range the following 4 artists were selected for the "3331 Independents Scholarship Program": winner of the popular vote, Iizawa Kosuke, "TETTA" nominated by Nakamura Masato, 3331' director Kobayashi Maika selected by Hosaka Kenjiro (researcher at The National Museum of Modern Art, Tokyo), and Matsuoka Tomo selected by Ito Seiko (artist/creator). In this exhibition audiences will be offered the opportunity of engaging with new work from these much anticipated artists.
