AIR 3331 is an international program for artists and curators.
Taking 3331 Arts Chiyoda and the local area of Akihabara as its stage, this program
offers opportunities for residence/production/exchange and exhibition.
Since fully opening as an independent art centre in June 2010 3331 Arts Chiyoda has been developing a network of relationships with other similar centres throughout the country and abroad. In this special artist in residency program 3331 has entered into collaboration with a number of these centres to offer support for young artists and nurture professional development in the arts. 9 artists who have been recommend by these arts organizations throughout Japan and the Asia-pacific will come together at 3331 and spend 1 month engaging in the local neighbourhood while producing new work. Through the many people and events which they encounter, the discoveries and inspiration they are met with they will develop their work, which will finally be presented in an exhibition "AIR 3331" in February. We welcome you to join this event where a multitude of values will be exchanged.
*Through out the residency artists will also be holding a series of workshops.
