● Venue: 3331 Arts Chiyoda/B104

This forum by Taipei Contemporary Art Center initiators and active curators and directors in Japan is to discuss what in practice is "independence"for an arts organization. When Independence is to be more than mere discourse--rather, concrete action and a path for the movement to fully engage with cultural policy and the mechanism of art, we need to envision creative, feasible economic models and unconventional operational models. We need to continuously refresh our engagement with the outside,
while challenging rigid status quo art organizations and stifled cultural policy.

Speakers:
Masato NAKAMURA(3331 Arts Chiyoda, director)
Mami KATAOKA(Mori Art Museum, chief curator)
Fumihiko SUMITOMO(Initiator of AIT, independent curator)
Manray HSU (Initiator of Taipei Contemporary Art Center, independent curator)
Jun YANG (Initiator of Taipei Contemporary Art Center, artist)
Meiya CHENG(Initiator of Taipei Contemporary Art Center, independent curator)
