Contemporary artist, Yusuke Nishimura, shares about his works in this exhibition. And Independent curator, Hayato Fujioka join this event as the facilitator.

Yusuke Nishimura

1976 Born in Fukuoka
2001 MFA in Oil Painting, Tokyo University of the Arts
2003 - Present Organiser of a reconstruction project at a disused textile factory in Kiryu, Gunma. The site is also of signi cance as part of Japan industrial history. 2003 - 2004 Organiser of the "Moriyoshi Reconstruction Project" at the disused Moriyama-Yoshihei Textile Factory in Kiryu, Gunma Prefecture. This project was organised in parallel with the exhibition, "Kiryu Saien", in the same city.
2006 - Present Nishimura has been engaged in the "yamajiorimono*works" project at the Yamaji Textile Factory where he has been restoring the building with the factory owner. Through this project Nishimura and the owner aim to communicate directly with the site in order to "create a new place", and suggest new forms of interaction.

Hayato Fujioka
Born in 1990 in Ehime. Fujioka completed MA Culture, Criticism and Curation from Central Saint Martins in 2016. He widely works in the field of arts as a curator. His recent curatorial projects include In "In Search of Mokuhanga Light" (Cyprus, Hawaii, Tokyo, 2017), "Tokyo Analogies | Richard Nicholson"(London, 2017),"Acts of Searching Closely"(London, 2016), "Rikuzentakata | Naoya Hatakeyama", "Haruka Komori + Natsumi Seo" (London, 2016) .
