Hiroshi Fuji [Toy Paradise via Kaekko departing from VPC]

Hiroshi Fuji: Artist, born in Kagoshima 1960

VPC（Vinyl Plastics Connection）is an expression of how materials from household waste can be employed in the production of new creative and social engagements. From this starting point the activities of Poly Craft, Petbottle Works, Viny-pla-show and Kaekko have been generated. In particular Kaekko, which utilizes discarded toys has been adopted in thousands of places throughout the country, generating many different activities within communities. In a further development to this movement broken parts of toys are now being used to create new structures. In this exhibition the development of these activities will be introduced alongside the creative interpretations of collected materials.
