207: Gallery OUT of PLACE TOKIO

Gallery OUT of PLACE is based in Nara and first opened a Tokyo branch in January 2009.
For the gallery's new launch, the space was moved at the end of February 2014, to room #207 in 3331 Arts Chiyoda with its official name, Gallery OUT of PLACE TOKIO.
Regarding our gallery name, OUT of PLACE refers to Edward Said's concept that a person without a place of belonging is able to generate an original pathway with a new set of values. With this thought as our guide, we would like to build the very foundation of fine arts from the starting points of Nara and Tokyo.
At our gallery we represent a variety of artists, with names including: Mayumi TERADA, Masao YAMAMOTO, Katsunori KOBAYASHI, Yasuaki ONISHI, Mineo SAKATA, Tomoo SEKI, Takashi NAKAJIMA, Hogalee, Reina KAKUREZAKI, nakajima mugi, Mai OHARA, Masami YAMAMOTO, Houxo Que and many others. These up-and-coming artists all deal with deep, philosophical concepts expressed by their true artistic skills. We hope to deliver a powerful impact and rich viewing experience through their artworks.
