Artist: Wisut Ponnimit
Gallery KIDO Press is holding the solo exhibition of Wisut Ponnimit.
Born in Thailand in 1976, Wisut is affectionately known as "Tamu-kun" in Japan and has held many exhibitions and other events there. In 2009, he accomplished a remarkable feat of becoming the first non-Japanese artist to win an honorable mention award in the Manga Division of the Agency of Cultural Affairs Japan Media Arts Festival. Both in Thailand and overseas, he is highly esteemed in animation and music circles.
In addition to highly popular prints with vivid coloring, this exhibition will feature installations that are full of whimsy little drawings and sketches. His books and items are available for sale at the venue.
