His focus is the visualisation of the gravity and expression of eroticism in his sculptural works.
In recent works he emphasises the organic motif ; for example, wrinkles and folds of skin, are elicited from the organic material.
By polishing his works with his hand and fingers, he achieves a finish of a moulded bodily eroticism.
Yamamoto will also include his main work, "Entrance", a large over two metre sculpture framed by an entrance reminiscent of a temple entrance which suggests an audience participation in a religious ceremony.
