Artist: Christian Danielewitz
Throughout the last couple of years the works of Danish artist Christian Danielewitz have revolved around the legacy of nuclear exposure and the uncanny nature of radiation. Danielewitz works with a variety of media, from photography and film to sound, sculpture and found objects.
For his first solo exhibition in Japan, Danielewitz will show a new body of works based on his research on the environmental repercussions of the 3/11 disaster. With a speculative point of departure in the evolution of concrete tetrapods, the material nature of the works in the show creates a link from the distant pre-historical past to the prospects of power generation in the immediate present and future.
