Atsuko Nuri, who is an artist mainly active in Sendai, will have her first solo exhibition in Tokyo.
She sketches monochrome photographs while adding a variety of colors of her choice. She is so focused during this process that noone can approach her, but her concentration is also fragile that may be interrupted unexpectedly.
That is Atsuko's Model (or "Kata" in Japanese).
She is able to express by freely morphing her Model. When viewing her art, notice the gap between the calmness of her tracing, which then swallows in the depicted object with the powerful lines and vibrant colors.
