Considering Artist in Residence(AIR):
A home for the creative activities of artists
- its sturacture as an important vessel within society and the potential of a network

Recently, we have witnessed a seeming boom in small scale, independent, often artist run residencies of increasing diversification and specialization, catering to individual aritsts' needs. In response to this, the first day of the 3 day series of events designed to reconsider the very basics of AIR takes place at 3331 Arts Chiyoda. In the first session, AIR networking organizations in Japan will gather and discuss the current situation and the possibiliy of AIR network in Japan and abroad.
