203gow: The Unknown Sea of Knitting

203gow continues to make peculiar knitted works "strange knitting", utilizing mainly a crocheting technique. By replacing the everyday things we pay little attention to with knitted adornments, then a surreal world of surprise, strangeness and warmth is recreated. 203gow has also founded the Guerilla Knitting group, "Ami Kyoshudan - Knitting Hijack Group", attempting to fill the streets with knitting. 203gow is also involved in window display, fashion shoot set design, as well as holding exhibitions and workshops.





"The particular feature of art duct is its long and narrow space. This long rectangular glass box, with various holes incorporated into its design, allows one to see through to the other side, and has a sense of being wrapped in the air of the sea.
In this installation I therefore took a section of the undiscovered, unseen, unknown creatures of the sea and have recreated them especially for this space as knitted objects."
