In this exhibition Kazuya Takagawa presents 3 new video works. "Narrative of one object" is a work produced in December 2011 during a residency undertaken in Seoul, Korea. "Interview with a goddess" was the first work he made after the disaster of 3.11, while "Pastiche of a film" was made in Odate city, Akita prefecture in 2011, casting local residents to reconstruct a scene of a film.

Kazuya Takagawa was born in 1986 in Kumamoto prefecture. He graduated from the MA course of Painting from Tokyo University of the Arts and currently lives and works in Chiba. He has exhibited his work as part of "AT THIS JUNCTURE : When we chase choice" (Gallery Jin) in February 2011. In the same year he joined the group exhibition "BEDAH VIDEO & KOPI SORE" at s.14, Bandung, Indonesia. He then went on to join a 3 month residency at "Seoul Art space GEUMCHEON" in September 2011. Furthermore he recently exhibited in the exhibition "About Something That Happened Yesterday" (AI KOWADA GALLERY) in March 2012. In recent years his practice has focused upon video, which he has pursued both within Japan and internationally.
