Zero Exhibition 2010 is a special project hosted in the shopping street of Odate, Akita Prefecture, an exhibition which anyone can participate in.
In Zero Exhibition 2010 60 works of art from all over the country were brought together and presented in a disused space opposite Odate station.
Amongst these many works two artists, Kaori Usuda and Mikiko Takahashi, were selected by special guests Tsukasa Mori, Roger McDonald and Masato Nakamura.
In this Zero Exhibition Award 2010 the works of these two young artists will be presented in addition to other works presented in the original exhibition.
Zerodate/Odate Exhibition 2010
The art project Zerodate/Odate Exhibition 2010 "To the streets and beyond" took place with great success between 12th-17th August in Odate, Akita prefecture. In the 4th year of this event exhibition spaces were expanded and the number of participating artists and works greatly increased.
Furthermore in the deplete cinema space "Onari-za" a whole series of events including the open submission "Zero Exhibition 2010", Hachiko Pro-Wrestling and Drive in Cinema were held. The documentation of all these events will be shown at Zerodate Art Centre Tokyo.

Towards 5 years of Zerodate - Artists and staff participating in the Zerodate/Odate Exhibition 2010 will be invited to discuss the future of Zerodate and plans for 2011.
