Tokyo-DIY-gardening Workshop
August 21, 2010, 7 to 9 pm
Tokyo-DIY-gardening Workshop unveils a new online project (tokyo-diy-gardening.org) that celebrates ordinary and extraordinary efforts to bring nature into the world's largest city. In a place more known for concrete and commerce, growing plants for ornament and food is fun, social, and magical.
The Tokyo-DIY-gardening Workshop invites participants to create together a city map identifying Tokyo's greenest and greyest neighborhoods and places. Using simple materials, including collage, markers and string, participants will envision new green spaces that make Tokyo city living more enjoyable.
The workshop is organized by Chris Berthelsen (a-small-lab.com/fixes) and Jared Braiterman (tokyogreenspace.com).
The workshop is free. You can pre-register by emailing info@en.3331.jp with your name, number of participants, and telephone number.
