Insideout Project interns kindly organized a special workshop for the artists in residence as part of AIR 3331. Although a bit belated, the workshop introduced the celebrations and customs surrounding setsubun. The participants firstly drew their original "oni" masks and then proceeded to throw beans at each other. The international artists all agreed that it was an interesting cultural exchange.

The problem with painting is that it just doesn't do anything, according to Jeremy Hiah, guest artist in residence in residence from Singpore. So how can we make it come alive? This is the challenge of the special upcoming workshop in interactive painting to be held this Saturday 12th February 13:00-16:00 at 3331.
Come together with other participants to paint a large canvas filled with mythic animals, and with electronic parts and old toys, wave a magic wand upon them to make them move, flash and make sounds!
